Jose Palos Co-Founder and Director of Affordable Housing

Marcela Palos has been a key leader within the Latino community in the Los Angeles area. Her passion and heart for excellence and justice for the Brown and Black community has been at the forfront of her career. Her passion to close the wealth gap by helping Black and Brown families own their home and businesses and send their children to college was what gave birth to RestoreLA.

Jose Palos has been a community leader for over two decades. From the arts district in downtown to Los Angeles to the heart of the West Adams District, Jose Palos has been a key leader in the change wihtin the Brown and Black community.

Daniel Rodriguez

Daniel Rodriguez, Board Chair of RestoreLA-CDC. Daniel is the Vice President of the U.S. Zero Barriers to Business program at BMO Financial Group. Based in Southern California, he focuses on empowering lower to moderate income communities by facilitating access to financial resources and opportunities for small businesses. Daniel is dedicated to promoting economic equity and growth through innovative financial solutions and community partnerships.

Denise Ovalle

Daniel Rodriguez

Denise Ovalle is the CRA Officer at First Citizens Bank and a Board Member of RestoreLA-CDC. She is deeply committed to serving low- and moderate-income (LMI) communities through strategic initiatives in financial inclusion and affordable housing. Her passion is reflected in her work supporting economic empowerment and equity. Denise plays a key role in bridging financial institutions with grassroots efforts to uplift underserved neighborhoods across Los Angeles.

Erika Carvajal

Erika Carvajal has over two decades of working in finance and investments in some of the top financial institutions in the country. As a mother and leader in her industry, Ms. Carvajal continues to push the envelope to see young people of color reach their potential. 

Maira Okon Chong

Maira Okon Chong has a passion and heart for serving future generations. As a member of the RLA community for over two decades.
